"She's got legs"
« on: July 18, 2008, 07:21:27 pm »
This little snakey osage was taken off the form in april '06. It seasoned till may '08,when I tillered it.It was very crooked and twisted before heat work,and actually looks straight compared to before .It had 1-3/4" of reflex ,which was lost during tillering. It's named"She's got legs" because of the sexy female leg wearing a rattlesnake stocking,(OOOH WEE) on the top limb.It is pretty forgiving and shoots a heavy arrow with authority.I might just hunt with this bow come fall.
Stats;
60-3/8" tip to tip,59" nock to nock.
short 1-1/2" fades
limbs 1-1/2" at fade tapering to 3/8" tips.
tillered to 50# @ 26"
glued on osage arrow shelf,with leather grip.
western diamondback skins.

  That's a great looking bow. You did real good. The tiller looks dead on.
