Ground blind for trad bow? (Ameristep caretaker)
« on: June 28, 2024, 08:25:30 pm »
Drew an antelope tag in a good area this year.  Going to try to ambush a good buck over a water hole.  I've never hunted from a ground blind before, so I'm not sure what to look for.  This isn't a form of hunting I do a lot, so I don't want to spend more than about $100.  Looking at the Ameristep Caretaker.  Anybody use it?  Is it big enough to shoot a trad bow out of?  Will it stand up to the Wyoming wind for a few days?

Anybody have any guidelines for size I should look for?

Thanks!

Here’s one I’ve been thinking about myself since it comverts from a conventional hub blind to a pentagon blind with no top, so a longer bow will fit no problem. Or o you can use the two or three section panels if you don’t need as much coverage. It’s the Lenotos 3 in 1 on Amazon.
