Hide Glue

Has anyone ordered hide glue from art stores? Specifically, "Dick Blick" art supply store. Hide Glue but is from Rabbit. If anyone has used it, what was your evaluation of the quality of glue made from the rabbit hide.

The Utrecht Rabbit Skin Glue has a Bloom strength of 550 grams, the highest hide test level, so you can think of it as "maximum strength"

I do a lot of woodworking and use hide glue all the time, this is much cheaper, I may give it a shot.

I’m not familiar with hide glue either, never used it. I did find this on the internet.

I've used it for years on all the sinew backed bows I've built, except the last two, with good results. A friend gave a half of a can for a sinew backed bow I was building. I believe it came from Dick Blick.
