Prayers for my father's wife
« on: January 10, 2022, 10:51:19 am »
My dad's wife backed into a propane heater and caught her pants on fire burnt her legs hand's and backside bad. Her pants are burnt into her flesh there going to do surgery on Wednesday to remove the material. If you would keep her in your prayers she's almost 80 and has a bad heart.

She’s in my prayers Rob.

Burns that bad are a long painful healing process. My youngest brother spent over a month in a burn unit when he was a kids. Skin grafts and scraping off the dead burnt skin aren’t any fun.

She had her first surgery yesterday they didn't tell her how soon the next surgery is going to be. After they get all the dead stuff and all the material out then they're going to start skin grafts. She seemed to be in good spirits last night when we called her.
Thanks again guys for the prayers.

Thanks for the update Rob. I very much remember my brothers struggle. The part you just described is the toughest. She will need the prayers. She will have to dig deep.

I'll pray she pulls through and grafts take properly. My niece required 150 operations when as a child she was burned by a open grate fireplace in an old home. Half her face , one arm and 60% of her torso required grafts and reconstructive surgery on lips and one ear.
