Hello...New here.
« on: May 12, 2008, 11:12:54 am »
Been over at TG since just about the beginning. But the primative bug has been gnawing at me all along. I just finished my second Osage bow at Pappy's and somewhere in the process passed the point of no return. ;D

I'll use the search feature a bunch. But I'll probably be asking a bunch of questions that have been asked and answered many times over.

Most of all looking forward to making new friends. I've been amazed by the friendships made in the traditional community.

BTW: Hope it's OK to refer to "TG". If i come back later and find it edited out I guess that'll be my first PA lesson.  ;D

Howdy Bear,

Welcome aboard! One thing to remember here is that there are a lot of stupid questions and these guys will swarm on you like buzzards at an August street market..... ::) Just kidding, there's a boat load of great people who are itching to help out, ask away and reap the benefits.

Thanks for warm welcome. Speaking of inspiration, I was looking at that newly finished two-hole bow. Wow! I didn't know limb tips could be made that tiny. I want to learn me some of that. :o

This one... http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,6957.0.html

I too thought it was the one from the Classic till I really looked it over. Those tips are nice! I thought you had to deepen the limbs to go that narrow in width (a look I don't really like). But those limbs are the same depth all the way. If anything they actually narrow in depth as well. Very nice!
