Good bye, Old Girl
« on: September 21, 2021, 01:05:05 am »
A sad day, as we put our old dog, Eilee, 13 plus years old, to sleep for the last time.  She has joined the others in the pack across the "rainbow bridge", and will be there when the horn calls for the hunt!
And I hate to see a grown man cry, especially me!  Little Fiddler is taking it real hard!

Sorry to hear that - never a easy task. The last 30 or so Years, I've had to the same thing twice. Still think of them both often and just can't seem to get motivated to get another now that I'm older, and don't get around too good. Prayers sent - Bob.

Sorry for your loss Jerry. They are more than a companion. It is a very special bond we develop.

My daughter comes home every weekend with her little Zoey. Zoey has brought much joy to our daughter and our whole family.

Every weekend she waits for me to come home. She greats me with great enthusiasm. As soon as I sit down she jumps up in my lap and gives me a “hug”.

This past weekend I have been gone early in the morning and not home till late at night. I didn’t even get to see my daughter or her Zoey. My daughter said Zoey is still mopping around and upset because she missed me. I missing her “hug” to.

Feel for your family Jerry. Really do

PS Bob I hope you get around better and I think you should get another friend. Not a replacement. Just a good friend.

That will bring any full grown man to his knees.  It does me every time. I'm glad yall had each other for the time you did. It was time well spent.

Jerry : sorry to hear about your companion crossing the rainbow bridge, it's something that enters a our life all too often it seems.

Yet we get another dog and never lose the memories of the old one. Like you our pack at the rainbow bridge gets larger as we grow older. I imagine it will be quite a reunion.

Pretty much what everyone has already said. We were in your shoes a few months ago. It's never easy.  I'll also raise a glass in her honor this evening.
