Any way of knowing if any of this is salvageable?

Had a fire. Probably all ruined but figured I'd ask...

Ooof.  That stinks.  If there is some osage, I suppose you could try chasing a ring to see if you get to non-blackened wood.  Hope you didn't lose too much other stuff!

You won't know until you try. On the up side you will have lots of heat tempered staves. -C-

Well definitely better than the house catching fire. Yes most of it was osage that I gathered from the past 2 years.

Yea, if the heat penitrated right you may be able to sinew back some of the Osage.

Those should be good still. Assuming any smoldering spots didn't go too deep. I'd be willing and VERY interested to make a bow of one and send it back to you, just for the experience, and document it here.. I'll send you a PM.

BUMMER!  Major style! :'(.  What isn't charcoal should be able to be cleaned up for billets and smaller projects!

I would let sleek have a shot at it. Can't beat a deal like that. You can tell he would do every thing in his power to get a good  bow  out of what you have.
