Elderberry bow 45# @ 28"

Hello. I want to show you my new bow. It is made of elderberry, and has a through channel in the handle.
Its characteristics: 45 # by 28 ". Length ntn 165 cm (65")
Bow weight 510 grams.
Finishing with Danish oil
One limb has a slight reflex.

Thank you. Yes, elderberries always have a fairly large pith canel.

That must have been a fat piece to end up with flat limbs on the belly. In my area it grows as a small bush.Nice bow.

bassman  I made it from an elderberry trunk about 6-7 centimeters thick.
I live in Ukraine, here they grow to a much larger size.

That would be Black Elder then would it? Black berries? The elder hear has red berries and I don't think it's as good.
