No inlay, no epoxy. Incise anything in a really high stressed belly like on this one is no good idea I think ...
The lettering is made embossed with thickened lacquer, like braille.

Man Simon that is one of the coolest looking bows I think I have ever seen. And we all know their are plenty of super awesome bows posted on this site. You have my vote this month for BOM and next month,and next month and on and on....

thanks for clearing. It needs some skills and guts to paint a lettering on the belly...your artwork is fantastic...
