Bownarra: I would definitely consider doing the yew as a layer between osage and bamboo again, especially as the thickness of the yew was enough to allow only a thin veneer of the osage on the belly near the tips. I chose yew because it bent easily, but I also have started to wonder how other bendable and light woods might work. Maybe juniper? Or even sitka spruce with its very high stiffness to mass ratio?
