I am using steam to add some reflex to the outer limbs.

Here is what she looks like after steaming in reflex. Not too bad.



I took some wood off and now she is bending.

Got her bending pretty good. Now it is time for the short string. I leave the tips wide and cut some temporary string groves.



Here is what she looks like braced the first time. Top limb clearly needs some work.

 The string alignment is off a bit because of limb twist. I'll take the twist out with my heat gun.



Some of the reflex pulled out of the top limb while I was floor tillering it. So I am going to heat some reflex back into the limb.



Looks pretty good.

Took a little more wood off the lower limb and now the limbs are a bit more balanced.

At this point I like to shape the handle before I get too far along tillering.

And now I do the final shaping with a file and rasp.

I take a little more wood off to improve the limb balance and now she is ready to tiller.

I'll be following this one closely. I have a spliced plum stave in my workshop that I have flipped the tips on. I haven't got round to making a bow from it yet. But hope to soon.
