Thanks everyone for looking.
This one is HHB from Rock Fall Creek and a good friend of mine. It’s a really clean stave with pretty nice grain. It had a little deflex I tried to remove with dry heat but it came right back.
I had to build up the handle a bit. Used black walnut, white oak and some wood a good friend of mine gave me that he thought was from desert.
I put water buffalo horn tip overlays I got from PA Steve.
I cut one western diamond back and put half on each limb. When I cheat like this and only use one skin I don’t like a straight cut snake skin so I cut it jagged and file the edges to give it a distressed look.
Originally I planned on wrapping handle with ostrich hide but I like the handle naked. I’ll hold off for now on the wrap.
I used my airbrush, some stencils I made and wood stain to put some very subtle designs on belly. I like how it turned out. You kinda have to look to see it. I had to go over the lower limb deer again with a slightly darker stain where heat darkened belly. It turned out pretty cool looking and I’m still toying with idea of doing it to rest of bow. I did put four coats of tru oil overtop so I can still plan around with my airbrush and wipe it off if I don’t like it.

I’m sorry I don’t have any profile pictures. Maybe tomorrow. The pictures I do have don’t really do her justice. Here’s what I have from “Leap Year”
