Short Hickory 40@26

This one is 50” ntn and 40# at 26” with a little deflex at the fades. It goes to 28 well but stacks a little. I think I wasted  too much room on a stiff handle. I made that choice in the aftermath of splitting out some knots when it didn’t seem  like I had enough width left for more working limb. Looking back I should have taken the risk. With that extra working limb  this bow would have been fine for 28”. I still like shooting it plenty, the  lower limb is extra short so it can swing under the arm for dynamic releases. It’s a fun dynamic shooter within 20yards but accuracy falls off after that, compared to longer bows that have no trouble at range. Shoots fine on either side, mediterranean or thumb release.
