One of my first bows was some kind similar to this design but with 21# at 25“, 60“ntn and maple. My wife shots it and I am always impressed by their performance! For sure a lucky hit.
So I wanted something similar in my size.
The Design is somehow a mixture of Holmegaard, Pyramid, and Sudbury. Sudbury handle and fades, Pyramid for the working limb, and Holmegaard for the outer.

Tips : 5/16“ - overlay - some unknown wood , could be some very dense palm wood
Handle: almost 6“ long
Fades: 3 1/2“ long
Eiffel Tower takes about 1/3 of the limb.
Cross section: starts heavy trapped at the fades, to rectangular after the shoulder, to square - 4“ before nocks. Nocks have an oval cross section.
Mass is 485g ( I calculated 622g with Steve Gardener´s mass calculator!)
The stave was 1“ deflexed and I flipped the outers to about 1“ reflex when I heat treated the belly and outers. Also I flattened out the hump in the dogleg with steam.
The Bow took about 1,5“ permanent set and 0,5“ dynamic set after unstringing.
This is my most reliable bow and if I would go hunting for real this would be my bow to go.
To honor its performance I stained with OO soup. This bright yellow will definitely cause some chats and I love to say : No it is not OO it is ASH! ( I had this already with an ash bow which looked like aged OO lol)
