Lacewood?  What's the other wood?  Gonna be a stunner!

-Patrick

Yeah, stabilized lacewood and stabilized oak...supposed to be spalted oak but not seeing any spalting myself, but I do like the contrast.

Got my knife from PaulN/ks, very nice kephart style blade and sheath. Blade from a power hacksaw blade and walnut scales. Will make a fine camp knife, thanks Paul😁

Here are the knives that Pat B sent me.  The cholla handle is awesome.  I need to use that on a project sometime.  The neck knife is the perfect size.  Thanks Pat!

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I think Dylan made the blade for the small knife and I added the handle scales and made the neck sheath.
You're welcome, Clint. Hope you enjoy them.  :OK

The hard work is done, need to do a final edge polish and stitch together a sheath.  I'll break out the good camera and do a couple of completions pics at that time.   The cell camera really screws with things,  the liner material is more of a terracotta color but looks almost bright red through a phone camera.

Here's my effort. It will be going out Monday. 3 inch blade from a coil spring, full tang with a distal taper. Osage scales charred, dipped in linseed oil the hand rubbed with bees wax. And the sheath veg tan stained with min wax, hand sewn with 2 strands of fast flight.
Always learning something new.

Mine is completed.  Wanted ti try something different with the sheath.  Still trying to get used to the new camera so the white balance isn't quite right.

Final specs:
1095 @ 59-60 HRC
blade length 4.5" with a 4" cutting edge
3/16" thick
Handle is stabilized oak and lacewood, 2 solid brass pins and center corby rivet
