Sturgeon backed steel
« on: May 08, 2019, 12:37:38 pm »
I covered this stainless steel thermos with some sturgeon skin. First, I wet the skin with just the right amount of water. then stretched two pieces around the bottle as tight as I could and glued the skin to skin with Tightbond 2 wood glue. Wrapped it with gauze and tape to dry, and voila~!

Funny how such a weird looking fish can look so beautiful on a plain old stainless steel thermos
