alibates slab disaster
« on: April 15, 2019, 10:44:46 pm »
this alibates slab ate my lunch. It had crumbly areas in the base that took an inch off the length. Had two burin type flakes take of sections of the edge while abrading the base so I lost some width. First flute made some crazy undulations near the tip that took another inch off the length. Then the second flute stopped short when an ear broke of.

it's hard to believe a flute can turn in then out so deep like that.

Might have to turn that one into a knife blade 1442. Love how you always take us along for the ride.
