Osage stave - bow in here?
« on: January 29, 2019, 11:42:28 pm »
Got an Osage stave, ring chased, slightly over 60" x 1 1/8 full length, pretty much close to center string follow.  Target wt. 35-38#, draw 24", max tiller will be 26".  Shooter is small adult, 4'8".  My idea is a handle bow following Comstock's pattern of wider limbs halfway out from the fades then tapering to about 1/2" at the tips and no set tillering to reach draw weight.  Sound like a plan, or a walking stick?  Btw, I got another stave that would make a better walking stick - well, more style, at least!  Thanks,
