Sandra's Full Meal Deal cookies
« on: December 20, 2018, 01:45:08 pm »
This is a cookie recipe we got from a friend many years ago. Like the title says, these are a full meal deal. Here is the recipe...
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup of honey or brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups oats(Quaker original)
1/2 cup carab chips(I use chocolate)
I also like raisins, chopped nuts, peanut butter chips, dates and/or shredded coconut

bake at 350(F) for 10 to 15 minutes. Should be lightly browned on top.
This is a pretty dry mixture so a couple of tablespoons of water can be added if needed. I use a tablespoon to dish out each cookie on a lightly greased cookie sheet or on parchment paper on the cookie sheet.   ENJOY!

That is a cool cookie!
Life is far too serious to be taken that way!

I am not a cookie eater, or much else for sweets excepting pie. Pie is justs the food of the gods!

But these cookies look like they contain plenty of energy and calories for days in the field.  I might have to try my hand at these.

I used to keep a few or 3 in my day pack for a day of hunting. They aren't too sweet but chocked full of energy.
