twisted horns
« on: December 16, 2018, 03:01:18 am »
Hello everyone!

Yesterday, I bought a (hungarian?) bull scull with two huge horns. The span from tip to tip is 69 inches! The horns do look great, without any cracks! However, the horns are kind of twisted.

So here are my questions: I´ve heard that the Hungarians actually used cow horns for their bows. They must have steamed out the twist. Doesn´t horn have a memory? Will the horn actually twist the bow later? I´m planning to build a bow with a maple core.

Thank you!
