I took a closer look. The "recurve" I was seeing was a knot in the fence. DUH :)

You made me laugh with that hat, Eddie!

I've been tempted to sport one of those eastern sombreros for some time.  Cool post.

 If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

You can look at all of my karate pictures posing with the Japanese instructors after class. Nobody is smiling in any of them.

So cool! This island had a whole unique idea of what a horse bow should be.

You met Jeff when we all came up for the Karate Tournament in Columbia, He's a fine, young man. I haven't shot it yet, still getting a feel for it and would like to have a spare string if this one breaks.

Filipino T,

It is written in the "Ballad of the White Horse"( slightly paraphrased,) by C. K. Chesterton (sp)

His harp was carved and cunning as the Celtic craftsman makes,
Graven all over like many headless snakes,

His harp was carved and cunning , his sword was prompt and sharp
He was happy and gay when he held the sword and full sad when he held the harp!

For the great Geals of Ireland are the men that God made mad,
For all their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad!

Happy is a state of mind and time!  We may not be happy about the need to be a warrior,
That is a serious calling.  But we may be happy when the job is done!  Reluctant heroes is a true status!  No offense meant!  Many warriors have not "come home" yet.

Life is far too serious to be taken that way!

@Hawkdancer

Tnx for the poem. Btw, my name is Filip, not Filipino LOL.

@GlisGlis

I am pretty sure that is depiction of rotated bow in the hand after the arrow was loosed.

Filip, I'll give you a rough Idea, the arrows I have for the bow that is bamboo tan are 36.5" long. The reason I haven't shot it is because I want to make sure my form is perfect before a pull a string and release it 7" behind my face.
