I plan to have a little follow along, not a real build along next week sometime ,as soon as I get it all togeather.I got the take down sleeve from 3 rivers. It is fairly simple to do and works like a champ.
As far as building one I don't know the fit on this one is really snug,If you are a mechanist you could
probably do it.  :)

Try one of the suppliers listed in the advertisers section at the bottom of the main forum page.  3 Rivers carries several takedown options.  http://3riversarchery.resultspage.com/search?w=takedown

There are some pictures of the take down system justin is talking about on the build along thread
under take down. It's not the bolt it's the sleeve.I have heard of the bolt or hinge but never seen
one. :)

Pappy, I think TBB 1 has a picture of both a sleve and a bolt. Justin

I'm going to get to the bottom of a discussion we have had several times about takedown sleeves. We have wondered about the size to use if you have big or little hands. The small takedown sleeve and the large takedown sleeve are the same width. The small takedown sleeve is mostly square while the large has a rounded belly side which I think makes it more comfortable.  It is 1/4" deeper from belly to back, but it is only the rounding that causes this.
