Black locust 53# at 27”
« on: June 26, 2018, 08:42:29 pm »
I finished up this bow a month or so ago and finally got around to taking some pictures. It’s black locust with pastel ball python sheds. It’s 68” tip to tip. 2” wide from fades to mid limbs then tapering to 3/8” nocks with vinemaple overlays, 4” handle, 2.5” fades. The limbs are 28” from fade to nocks. Pulls 53# at 27” taking about 1/2-3/4” set.
After seeing the full draw picture, I think I could’ve made it a bit more elliptical in tiller. But it shoots well with little set, no frets, and a pretty smooth release. So I’m gonna leave it be.

Thanks for looking,
Kyle

nice one Kyle...I like the decorative thread work that you did on the skins... nice touch.  I'm looking forward to seeing it at MoJam soon.
Seems like common sense isn't very common any more...

Nice bow and a good amount of weight for the dimensions.

P.S. Watch the elbow elevation.
