Great looking bow Hoosierf. Very nice tiller. Think your right with the resolution...hard for me to see the details but the draw in-hand looks right on and that what counts. Mike

This is the first horn nocks I have done, so I hope they turn out decent. I finished roughing  them out tonight. They are on a 73" ttt yew elb. I will cut some new string grooves tomorrow and get it back on the tree to finish tillering, and take a few more pics. Cheers- Brendan

Pendebender, that yes is looking real nice.  Sounds like a good stout draw too.  Should sing an arrow right along.

Got the nocks cleaned up, and put it on the "tree" for a token picture. Unstrung and 22" draw. It's getting there. Cheers- Brendan

That looks like a great piece of yew you have. Nice ratio of sap to hartwood from my novice eye. Never shot or even seen an elb design up close before. I do like that style of nock, looking forward to seeing it all finished up.

Putting some oil on my swap bow. I learned my phone camera stretches the image near the edges, that kinda messed me up for a few days. Made one limb look maybe 3 to 4 inches longer that the other lol.  With any luck I can get some good pictures this weekend and post. Mike

Hi Folks, my bow is complete.

Its 65.5 ntn osage. 4 inch handle and 3 inch fades. Tip overlays are tulip wood and water buffalo horn. I shaped the horn to resemble the shape of the keeled scale on the diamond back skins applied to the limbs(maybe not accurate but makes sense in my mind). The handle is cherry bark wrapped with dogbane on top and bottom. I thought the cherry bark matched well with the tulip wood and I also dyed(red/black) a few strands of dogbane just for some extra character. I was able to get a beaver pelt from a friend of a friend and made the string silencers from that.

I'm very pleased with how things turned out. Its a lot of fun to shot and falls in the requested draw weight. So many things I did on this bow was a 1st, including working with osage. My only hope is that the guy who gets it enjoys it as much as I did making it.

Lots of pictures here. Don't think anyone would mind  :) Didn't have the time to go some where better for pics so the back yard had to work.
Thanks all, Mike
