Fumed BL Bendy Static
« on: January 27, 2018, 11:39:19 am »
This bow is all BL heartwood. There was a big knot, which never reached the surface, so I drilled it out and filled it with ebony dust and epoxy. It was my first time fuming and I was really impressed with the result. Thanks to Simson for the how-to on his website.  :)

62" ntn
50# @ 27"
deer antler overlays
cork under tanned cobra skin on the handle
a bit of leather for the arrow pass

I'll post chrony results if folks are interested, but the heaviest arrow I've got is 450 grains.

Thanks for looking

great looking bow! you have done an awesome job working around that knot without impacting your tiller. I like the handle as well.

Man i'm struggling to find the time to make one bow, in the time you've made like half a dozen? How do you do it and what do you do with them all?
