....O.K., this is how I'm gonna back it.
one layer of thin silk, than one layer of thin cotton, this should make it bulletproof, even with all the run of it should hold (I hope
)
I'm hoping the 2 glue lines and 2 fabric layers will work a bit in retaining some reflex too

How about this,
both last nite and tonite tempering the bow I had beads of moisture surfacing, I can't remember ever reading a thread where someone mention this on tempering board bows.
Has it happen to you ?

Just caught this one and she's looking sweet, good luck with it Manny. Sounds like a good approach with the backing. Don't know what to say on the beads, never had that befor. Keenan

Wow I sure do miss Hawaii! Haven't been there the last two years.
When you compare your outdoor pics with DanaM's there's no question where I would like to be.
Also, I had to stop shooting arrows outside because we have had so much new snow the last few days.
Looking forward to seeing your final product.

She's bending so nicely on the tree that I was almost tempted to yank her to full draw...better not
Question:....I forgot,.... long string shows stiff or week tips ?
thanks

Ant sure, only use long string until I get the tips out to 7 or 8 inches then I put it to a short brace.
and go to the tiller tree. Someone will come on soon I would bet and tell you.Looking good.
You changed your name, thought this was someone new.

The long string can make the tips look stiffer than they actually are, I had one that looked good on the long string but when I braced it it was whip-ended. I try to get them off the long string sooner now. That's looking great, Manny.

Yup I agree with Hillbilly....I was always taught and noticed more bend in the inner third with the long string so you want to make sure that the tips look stiff. Cool fabric...is that the cotton or did you find printed silk that color?

...like others said, makes the tips seem stiffer than they really are.
I like the backing - does it match your surf board?
