Osage Reflex/Deflex 60#@32"

I had a long armed customer ask for a bow that wasn't too long. I scratched my head a little and came up with this. It's 65" ntn and pulls 60#@32". (My short little arms are only getting it out to about 30" in the full draw photo.
) I made the limbs nice and wide with short fades. I designed it with some reflex/deflex as well. I'm happy with how it turned out. It has no stack and very little handshock. Osage came through for me. The tip overlays are deer antler with some live edge on them. The stain is combo of leather dye and the finish is tru oil. the string is D97 with muskrat fur silencers. The etched norse runes have special meaning for the owner.

Man that is looks like a really fantastic bow bet it shoots like a cannon! What's the weight like given the limbs are so wide? Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a war bow when you pull it back that far! Great looking bow, as usual Mr. Olive.

I'd have had to use my foot to get that long of a draw out of a bow! This is a real beauty sir, rustic, yet clean and precise. The dye job is pretty as a picture and the runes just set it off. I'd not volunteer to be the down field observer when that rocket launcher was being fired. Nope!

That came out great. It doesn't look at all over bent pulling it to 30". Moving the fades in was a good strategy.

That's another beauty! And great drawlength and drawweight for a relative short bow!
