Making Flemish Twist bow string
« on: July 04, 2017, 04:01:20 am »
Found this Clay Hayes vid to be one of best have seen on the subject.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iTI--H5FdE

Removing twist and adding reverse twist after 1st loop is made is particularly important to me and often not covered in other vid how-to's. That's at 4:45 in this video.

Hope some find it useful.
Cheers!

Clay was doin' the filming, not the doing, in this one. I believe he was at MTJam when filmed this.

Just made a string jig yesterday and watched the video  this morning. That part about the twist was news to me. Glad I watched it. Will watch again when I make the first jigged string. (Have made a couple sans jig. Can be done, but not as neatly, for me at least.)
