Thanks DuBois.You can use any colors you want but this one was made with 4 colors.yellow,tan,red,and black.Starting with the lightest color first being yellow doing a whole limb first middle of handle to tip.Then the tan from middle of handle but stopping short of the tip 8 or 9 inches.Then the red from middle of the handle stopping shorter yet from the tip say 16 to 18 inches.Then the black from middle if the handle out past the fades a ways.
Each darker color over the previous lighter color.Each time when stopping to feather it out as you stop to fade it out into the other color.I found it the easiest to use a paper towel to apply the dye.I had more control on the fading out aspect.
