That's a fine looking bow. I dont blame you for keeping it, some bows just want to be heavy. I would not mind going six strands just for economy's sake, but I think the tab gives you an advantage of comfort my glove wouldnt. Maybe I'm wrong...might need to try it.

Nice bow! Hickory? I don't think it was me who said they use 6 strands D97. I'm on the opposite end, I use fast flight, and usually go 14 strands. I've made very small strings, and I just never felt right about pulling backa piano string. Sorry Wizardgoat I was thinking it was you. I remember thinking that it had to be a typo but when I kept reading I could tell it wasn't. My old brain can't always remember who's who anymore didn't mean to put the wrong person down.
