Iowa Osage D-bow with sapwood
« on: March 10, 2017, 03:43:13 pm »
60.5" N-N
38#/28"
Jute fiber nock wrap on lower and pin on upper.
No sapwood removed.
HHB inner bark on about 60% of back with TB3 and then sanded to see pristine sapwood behind it.
Sisal cord handle with TB3.
Was gonna pitch this piece out cause it was a split that was real near too narrow and thin to work with but glad I kept it.
Toasted belly. Art sinew string
I love shooting this bow about best of any so far  ;D

Nice bend DuBois. Looks like the buffalo migration is on. Sometimes it's surprising what we can get from a stick we almost give up on😊

Thanks Bj, I still have another split that is just about like this was.
had the buff pic in my phone so figured what the heck. They didn't care about me a bit but would have if they knew I was helping keep them from the little green stuff on the other side of the fence.

Love the bow, the wood stove, and the look on your dog's face while you've got it at full draw.  :OK
