I'm having a hard time focusing on that bark, what general area do you live in? Is it a branch or trunk? Thanks

I live in southern Oklahoma. It may be honey locust. It had long blackish thorns growing inside the wood. And I believe it's a trunk.

Honey Locust is what I thought it was looking at the growth rings and wood.

Do you have a black light? Locusts are fluorescent and will glow like they're radioactive under a black light.... even more so if freshly cut, scraped, or sanded.
