lowes bow(pictures)!!!
« on: March 11, 2008, 07:41:51 pm »
i am working my way to primitive. :) i pretty much finished my board bow. made from red oak from lowes. tip to tip, 54" and draw weight as of now at my draw of a short 21" is 70 pounds. i gotta finish shaving it down to probably 55 or 60 pounds then i will round the edges and clean up the nocks and rub down with some bacon fat. ;Di call it a lowes bow because i bought it at lowes along with the arrows from hard wood dowel rods. ;D i will post pictures as soon as i get the camera back. ;D feels good to finally get a bow done i can hunt with instead of..... buying one. ;D

Lots and Lots of High Resolution Pictures from all Angles and lighting ...with a Neutral Background ....so there is nothing to distract Us from the Bow itself.....and Hurry before Dana blows a Blood Vessel or something!!!! :o :o :o

70 Pounds is really pushing a Red Oak Board Bows limits....I sure hope that you get it down to 45 -55 pounds....will be a lot better off...and wont take so much set either
