Maanameg for half eye
« on: February 06, 2017, 06:07:32 pm »
Several months ago I worked out a bow trade with half eye. I recieved a great bow from Rich posted here. http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,58185.msg805176.html#msg805176  I finally got my part of the trade done. Osage 55" tip to tip 54# @ 25". Backed with flat head catfish skins. Cow horn tips. Handle wrap is inner willow bark. Hope it gets Rich's approval.

That's a dandy of a bow.Good pic of the full draw.Resting profile says it all.I have flat head catfish skins I hav'nt used yet.Knew they would look great. When I processed mine for drying they started out a bit oily.Natural I guess.I had to use lacquer thinner to get them good and cork dry after they were dried.

Well done! Anyone would be proud to own that bow. I really dig the catfish skins, it matches the osage quite well. I also really like your handle, both the wrap and the asymmetrical fades.
