Clint that bow came out awesome, I love a low 40s yew bow for those long shooting sessions.
On those small diameter staves, the sapwood thickness can be all over the map, and I no doubt roughed that stave out wherever the cleanest back was.

It was a very clean stave Ryan.  There was one very small slit knot on the edge of limb.

Beautiful bow Clint! The sap wood makes those skins pop. The horn tips are the icing on the cake.  And to top it all off with a spot on tiller. Those yew and juniper bows are feather light and very pleasant to shoot. Great job on that bow!

Man! That is beautiful!  My eye usually prefers a wood back over snake skins, but this bow changes that for sure.  The colors in those skins, sapwood, heartwood, tips, handle wrap, and stitching all complement each other wonderfully.  And aside from the decoration aspects, it is a beautiful bow in shape and design.  Very nice!
