Here is my latest bow. It was a 2 1/2" diameter hickory sapling. My son cut it in S.C. about a year ago. Puls 42# @28". Has a 5"-long handle so there is good arrow clearance above my hand. It shoots well and is quite forgiving. Dog has seen it all before. He's lying there wondering if the neighbors have put out their trash yet.

That's a mighty fine looking bow. I like the tiller, all-around nice weapon. How long/wide is it?

Good looking weapon. Hickory is a work horse wood as far as I'm concerned, very reliable.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

The bow is 66" ntn. It is about 1 3/4" wide at the fades, pyramid taper to about 7/16" tips. Thanks for the kind words. I did wonder if the stave would make a bow because of some wavy spots and knots.
