Take a pic from farther away so we can see the perspective a bit better.

This better. Had to crop the last one and resize it to get it to work.

Thats a patch. And he even signed the patch.  Wow
Bad form sending that quality out without your consent.

I see evidence of attempted heat treat to stiffen the area and bad glue up. I wouldnt give that bow away, much less sell it. Dude, have the seller make it right.

Is that a saw dust filler in the side also? Man, how much did you pay for it?

Try to send it back and get a different bow... or a refund.

Jesus, can't believe what things is someone selling today. Wondering when some "bowyer" will sell bow with broken limb that he "fixed" by gluing it.

To do a patch like that takes some skill and plenty of luck. I don't see these things as fixes, it is more of a last ditch attempt to make something work when really it is toast.
It is not even close to acceptable for a bowyer to send out a new bow like this.

These bows are sold through a dealer so there will  probably be some "chain of blame"  to work through.

Cant believe somebody would put a bow for sale with that kind of patch. I wouldn't even use it myself let alone sell it.

Do patches like that even work? I remember reading on here that they will all give up eventually, never tried it.

Depends on who you talk to, David. Personally I like to have genuine trust in my hunting bows, or I simply don't shoot them well at all. I short draw and snap shoot horribly when I'm skeptical of a wood bow.

I've done a couple like that that worked fine. But----I have too many bows and they each don't get used that much. I wouldn't pass one on.

Just got it yesterday evening. Ordered it from Primitive Pathways website. Going to return it. Though for my first truly primitive bow I would trust him but never again.
