nice wee 46" elm

I've just finnished this nice little elm bow, its 46 ntn 45#@23" I also just made a munch of reaaallly nice 23" dogwood arrows with oak dowel heads, and nocks and the gorgeous feathers ken sent me.  Anyways, As Ii took it out for practice at like 10 yard, I could not to save my life hit the target. I thought that it was the arrow at first. Or maybe theway I was shooting. It turns out that the side of the bow was too sharp an oval for the arrows and I had to shave it a bit more flattish.

Yes! This sounds like my kind of bow  ;D, I'm waiting for them....
Oh, I've heard that a longer arrow helps with accuracy.

This is a primitive bow and excellently made!  No one can deny that this is a self bow. 46", eh? I sent some notes to Ed, PA's editor for an article about short bows. I'll send this, too, if you don't mind.

Anyways, I made the nocks and heads, By sticking the dowel in the hand lathe (drill)
And used a few small chisels and sandpaper.
