BOM advise
« on: April 23, 2016, 11:41:44 am »
A little advise for those thinking of BOM. Don't do it now!!! With all the trade bows and now Simon comes up with a very impressive hat trick an ordinary bowyer doesn't have a prayer ;D ;D

I would hope that people here are able to judge the bow by the bowyer - Simon routinely makes astoundingly beautiful bows, but a less experienced bowyer who produces something exceptional by their own standard should have an equal chance of winning even though the actual bow may not be of the same quality as one of Simon's.

Sorry to single you out Simon but your name was mentioned!

The world needs a universal sarcastic font.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

I find "Sarcasm San Serif 12pt" works  O:) quite well
Or is that more Ironic??  ::)
Or simply "Moronic" so to speak.... sorry I've had too much home made cider  :-[

if the bow is a stand out, it should not matter what experience level the bow maker is, if you are a beginner and make a bow that is great for you,, thats great, but I don't think it should win because you have less experience,, but thats must me thinking out loud,, and my opinion is definitely just that,,  :)
