Even though I haven't posted in awhile, I'm a regular Primitive Archer Message Board stalker. I truly appreciate what ya'll do.

This is the eighth bow I built this year and arguably my best bow thus far. In total I've built around eleven or twelve bows, so I'm still green around the edges.

Specs: Osage Orange (I traded hand-tied trout flies for the stave; thanks again, you-know-who-you-are), 56" tip-to-tip, flipped-tips (my first successful attempt), sinew-backed (my first attempt), faux (cloth) rattlesnake skin backing, pin nocks, deer hide lace grip, and six coats of Tung Oil. The bow draws in the low 40# range at my 25" draw. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Thanks for looking as well as the motivation I get seeing the skillful work ya'll do.

(I could only bribe my wife to take one full-draw picture, so I cropped out my son's room the best I could.)

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Thanks a bunch for your encouraging comments, guys! Much appreciated. Like I said, the Primitive Archer Message Board--and ya'll on it--has/have been an invaluable resource. I'm looking forward to bending another stick soon.

Very nice bow. So glad you didn't carve a shelf into it!

I tried to talk him into carving a shelf in Jim, but it didn't work.

Nice work Scott!
