I can bring some wild mushrooms for the boil. I have some dried chanterelles and some frozen sulfur shelf (chicken) mushrooms. Both batches have been tested will no ill affects(u can never be too careful with wild harvest shrooms). Either or both would work with well in that dish. I might be able to supply fresh ones if hunting fungi is allowed on club grounds.

I was bringing a bunch of frozen yellow perch down as well, but we're gonna batter and fry that. I assume that will be a different night. Someone just broke the state record a couple days ago, 3 lbs. It looked more like a small mouth. Too bad it snowed last night and it's still cold enough to freeze water on my fishin line, or I'd be out adding to inventory. We'll see what the afternoon brings.

Hope so too, Bone Pile.  I LOVE collard greens.  Us Yankees don't get 'em up here.

I was planning on bringing venison, but haven't figured out how to keep it all week in the truck.  If that doesn't work, I'll bring some yard bird breasts.  If you need anything in particular, let me know.  Josh

Josh dry ice stacked just right will freeze everything in the cooler

Matt, I am hoping on getting there on Wed evening. This will be my first Classic. Curious on what type of venison and how you cook it, as in steak, burger, or roast?

Stick:  It gets thrown in a pot for the boil.  A roast would probably be best, if you're trying to decide which to bring.

I can bring some small venison roasts, and might have some antelope to.

I'll bring some yard bird then.  Bub, I looked into the dry ice.  Closest place to get it is in Nebraska.  I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless.  Josh

Josh, if you have any runs thru Wichita before hand I am planning on driving over to the Classic on Wed 27th. I would be willing to take any meat of yours with me if it helps in transportation. Looking forward to meeting you in person, have followed a lot of your posts on here. Brian

Matt, I'm good for a package of shrimp and a package of sausage...and help chopping stuff up. Greg and I did a pretty good job of that last year.
Yes, yes we did. I'll pitch in for KP duty again this year and bring the Old Bay seasoning, other items as needed.
