Turkey getters
« on: March 12, 2016, 09:36:08 pm »
I was asked to make something to hunt turkeys with and this is what I came up with. Georgetown chert and 130 grn. Long and narrow and sharp!

Thanks for looking and God Bless!

Look great to me....I like the long narrow point for turkeys rather than a wide one. Should get through all those feathers better. Nice work!

Only goal in my flintknapping life, make matched points like yours.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Thanks Paul, this set was relatively easy and I only broke one attempt. I really enjoyed using up the Georgetown flakes I had layin around.

Lyman, that's where my thinking was also.

Well Dylan, you need to set your goals a little higher. As close as you are now, you'll be there shortly and then what?  ::) 8)      Danish dagger, now that's a goal!
