That's a great looking bow, I have been wanting to try an Osage sapwood bow for quite a while now, maybe I should get started.   And don't worry, you'll get that picture thing

Everybody already said it all and I agree.

Was the sapwood sealed and intact from under the bark or did you chase down? Will the sapwood hold up to being stored in a moist area about like most whitewoods?

Thanks again everyone. DuBois, It was an intact ring so I didn't have to chase it. As far as storing it I would assume if it's kept inside out of the weather and sealed it would be fine but I really couldn't say for sure. This is only the 6th bow I've ever made so I have very little experience to draw from.
I'm no where near as smart as my phone!

This is just an incredibly beautiful bow, and certainly opens up the train of thought re sapwood backing for me.  I have a couple of Yew bows from James Rempp and a sapwood back is just beautiful......can't wait to try it.   Like you, I'm still in my first year of self bow building.  If you don't mind my asking......did you burnish the sapwood and what did you use as a sealer/finish?
