I would be impressed to see any bow at all come out of wood like that, but you've made a work of art! Pretty darn sweet, especially at dull draw  :o

Lol, this was from my stash of 60yr old osage log staves. Just happened to be all funky.

I forgot to mention...

The tips were done with a leather dye that I faded with some acetone. the rattlesnake skins were leftovers from a bow I did about a year and a half ago, and there was a small scar along the belly which I painted with some turquoise acrylic paint.

That turned out great, James! I love everything about it. Your fade with the stain turned out well. I'll have to give that a try.

Wow, that's impressive!  Beautiful work on that tough stave.
Yeah, I remember when we had a President who didn't wear a tinfoil hat.

Great job, those kinks in a stave drive me up a wall, you seem to have a good eye.

Thanks guys. I wasn't quite sure what I was doing as I tillered it, so I tried to make sure the tips were close to bending even. I guess just balancing the inner part of the limb bending with the outer parts opening up. Will definitely have to try a R/D design again.

Wow.  A bow like that is a lesson in patience that not very many modern wood workers would understand.  Congratulations for getting through it, good job!

Wow, what a bow, take a bow like that to the range and you'll spend more time talking to folks about it than shooting, very impressive work!

Lol, I've still yet to get to any local archery ranges around my area. I'm going to try and make it a point to do so in the near future.
