Man, this is really getting close... I don't have a scale but I can tell the poundage is getting lower and lower... What do you all think? Left limb is still a little stiff? I honestly can't tell anymore. I've been staring at it for the past hour. Haha

I still don't know what to do about the limb twist/bend.
Can I heat bend it out, or??

Is it twisting or bending laterally

A basic luggage scale, available at many super stores works well and is affordable. I have seen many pictures on this site that show most of us have the same one.

I know we have one but I can't find it. I'll have to look harder..

Bubby, the two (crappy) drawings below might help explain it.
It is corkscrewing counter-clockwise, and bending to the right.
The first one would be looking down on top of it, or look at the "back" of the bow.
Second one would be looking directly at the tip of the bow. The circle arrows show which way it is corkscrewing, the straight arrow shows which way it is bending.
It is straight as an arrow when un-strung, but as soon as there is any tension it starts to bend and twist.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

The twist is probably not a problem, that kink in the limb you can use a heat gun to straighten it out or steam it. A couple of clamps and heat applied to that area you should get most all of it out

That drawing isnt all that great. The "kink" isn't actually that bad, I is just a slow bend outwards from about half way down the limb. I posted a picture of it a few pages back.
It is also straigjt when un strung, but as soon as there is any pressure it starts bending.

The kink in the limb and possible uneven limb thickness could cause limb twist. Is it twisted unstrung or only after bracing? Straighten out the crook and see how it looks.
Also you need more bend just out of both fades. The right limb is trying to hinge right after the tape on the right limb. Outer 1/3 of the right limb could bend a bit more.

There isn't actally a kink in the limb... That is just my crappy drawing of it bending sideways. It is way more gradual than that.
I posted a picture of it a page or two back.

I have taken a ton of wood off of the "strong" side, but nothing has happened. Hasn't gotten better or worse, just lowered my draw weight even more....

The bow is straight when unstrung.

YES!!
One awesome bow Mr. Stix.
Thank you. You nailed it brother.

Left for work at 1430 yesterday and passed the mail truck as I went.
Came home through the front door around midnight-wife and kids asleep.
Long tube in GARAGE!!
You really wrapped it up good. Looked like a monkey &6$%4* football getting into it  ;D ;D ;D
Wife went to the moms with kids about 10 mnutes ago and I'll be in the yard real soon.

I work again this eve so will have to get pics up tomorrow but I'm sure you all are familiar with this beauty already. Sorry fellas, she's with me now >:D
