Alrighty boys, its crunch time with 1 month to go. I have a list of everyone who has shipped and received, so please
say in this thread if you've done either.
Theres only been a couple of guys who have not posted any progress pics, so if your one of them, lets see what your working on!
Weylin and Carson have stepped up to help Bryce complete his bow, cheers guys, that'll be a special bow coming from the 3 of you.
Simson has informed me that his bow being a take down should not be a huge shipping cost, and to just direct any donations to his builder.
Also, I hope you are feeling better soon and back in your shop!
If you are into throwing down, shoot me a text or PM and I'll pass on the info for Simons builder.
So far this trade has been outstanding, great bows guys. cheers

I have received a fine bow from Pat B!  I snuck home just before dark and pulled it out of the tube, strung it up and hustled out back with a handful of arrows.  It shoots great!  I didn't have a chance to take any pics before it got dark, but trust me this bow is a looker!  Thank you so much Pat!   Josh

Glad she got there in good shape Josh. Hope she suits you well for many years to come. She is a few pounds over your suggested weight but you're a big boy, I'm sure you can handle it.  ;)

Lucky trucker! A genuine Pat B is something special to own.

Patm, that bow is looking fine man.

Shipping out today or tomorrow is my trade bow.  My recipient likes heavy draw weights which had me a bit intimidated.

I chose an osage stave from a tree that I cut in the Winter of 2012 in Southern Michigan.  The staves from that tree were unusually dense with thin growth rings.  Aesthetically, the red streaks throughout the heartwood, I thought were pretty cool.  While drawknifing, I got through the bark and down to the last layer of sapwood.  The last layer seemed to exist harmoniously with the heartwood.  Instead of chasing the next ring to get rid of it, I thought it complimented the already unusually fire-streaked stave.  Roughed out, I brought to this year's Tennessee Classic where I began tillering it out as my Selfbow Challenge bow.  I was going to make the bow for myself, since it was so pretty but, it was tillering out nicely right from the git-go.  I needed to remove a lot of wood to get to my preferred 45-50 pound draw weight.  As luck would have it, the bow was landing perfect for my trade recipient sporting a stout 70# at 28".  It also held its profile really well during the build.  After I was satisfied with the tiller, I shot it in at The Classic through the Selfbow Challenge course.  Though a lot heavier than I am accustomed to shooting, it shot well.  Hope he likes it as much as I do.
