Interesting and solid, Pat. I like it.

Hey trucker, I tried to wake up Parnel when your call came through Friday nite but he wouldn't budge, I was driving and the phone was on the floor.

That's alright Eddie ...I didn't really need anything.  I was just checking to see how you guys were getting along on your road trip.
Thanks fellas!  I'm not getting much time to work on it this week so far.  Plus I'm studying for the truckdriving championship coming up father's day weekend.  Never enough hours in a day it seems.
Pat...you have my attention.  You have some serious hooks going on!  Josh

That is a fascinating bow Pat. Did you laminate the recurves or are they steam bent one piece? I'm lookin' to steal some ideas ;D ;D

They are one piece of Elm. The backing will run up them to the tip however.

My bow(#2) is just about done. I'll get some pics up this weekend and try to get it in the mail next week.

Heres a few pics of the one I think I'll settle on sending to my guy. This is plan D, the results of plans A-C have been a little bit frustrating.  :-\  Issues ranged from underweight, to frets, to hand shock on the first three attempts. Still have some tiller tweaks to address on this one but heading over to the shop in a few minutes to hopefully work those out and then start putting a finish back on. Thought I was done but decided a bit more belly scrapping was in order. It will be a simple and primitive looking bow, the kind I am drawn to the more I keep making them.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
