Generally no. I prefer the polyester variety of artificial sinew to B-50 and I use spectra fishing line for no stretch. Real no-stretch bowstring is not too readily available to me.
I do use linen as well.

I can get D-97 and other types of BCY bow string material pretty cheap at the Classic.  I could get some next year and ship it to you if you are interested.  I got a bunch for the guys at Marshall this year.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I put about 50-60 arrows threw mine today got the handle roughed in, now to get the tape glue off the back and build up a couple places on the grip and finish work

Here's one with a similar finish as the one I shipped last year.not having a decent stave pile this year has proved to be a little tricky.btw killer work pat and bubby!

I'm just kind of a hack trying to keep up with some of the best bowyers this country and actually the world have produced recently. I know that I have nailed a couple of bows pretty well but it is actually more normal for me to go and mess around with it too long and end up having to pike it or heat it or scrap it or come in under wt. I am an advanced beginner at best and I know it; but damn I love doing this stuff when I have the time and I know this site and all the folks here have put me way past where I could have gone on my own.
I'd be a little intimidated trying to make a bow for someone I see as a superior bowyer and I don't mind not being invited for whatever reasons. I see no reason for any hard feelings on this site since we are all here voluntarily. Take what you like and leave the rest alone; participate at your leisure people  ;) 8). I am grateful I got this at all.

Free lessons and a bow in the mail???

Weylin was kind enough to put the finishing touches on my trade bows tiller while I'm in the hospital. In a couple weeks when I'm out I'll finish it up and get it sent off
