boo maple yew
« on: January 18, 2016, 12:21:35 am »
Hey guys, finally got around to finishing this one up. Its boo/maple/yew with osage tip overlays and osage and walnut in the grip area, 66" ttt and shoots great but there's a few area's I'm not happy with the glue lines so it will just be a beater bow . I'm still figuring out the tiller on this type of bow and this one is close, I'll post some more pics when it's not raining, thats right folks it's raining in California lol

That wood combo looks great and the handle wrap is way cool!  :)

That's a sweet looking bow Bub.Bet it shoots that way too. What type of clamping or wrapping did you use to glue the laminations together?Glad it's finally raining in California.

Here's some more pics, this combo makes a speedy bow with no hand shock and draws smooth, i did manage to grab the wrong pc of maple and it was thicker than i wanted and i feel that caused the glue lines in the handle area my bad😄, the bend ain't perfect but its not bad

Nice looking bow Bubby.  That sure doesn't look like a beater bow to me.  great job on the handle wrap.

Did they declare a state of emergency when the rain started to fall?
