just wondering how heavy a arrow we need to get the 90+yds to the bear.

Guy they will shoot wayyyyy over the bears back. 110-150 yards should be no problem. Tip weight is what dictates a lot of that.

Onebowwonder and myself got together last night for a little while and got some mini bow work done.
Bamboo backed Osage with bacotie overlays. For some reason the particular piece of Osage we used for our mini bows I happen to be allergic to. So Eric is working with the bows and I'm making the arrows.

It does shoot pretty quick. Those are solid bamboo dowels. I picked up at wally world.

I am not seeing these 12 -15 " arrows going that far, not that I have a place to shoot that far with them yet there just does not seem to be enough weight  to carry very far and if they have weight they are to stiff to shoot right
Shot a 24 "arrow that was more promising looking in flight
Need to get out of town and let some rip so I will know for sure
